Active Retirees

I have heard it said that the monthly FOP meeting frequently have a great many retirees in attendance and your right, there are.  And they are among the most involved members of the organization.  Retirees vote in elections, they participate, they attend and they believe in the noble cause in which we serve.   And they quite often have the time you don't, and the will to help those still on the front lines.  We need to appreciate more their involvement and dedication and take advantage of their strength in numbers.

I plan on keeping a very active role in supporting current retirees of our organization, and organizing their efforts further for the benefits they've already fought for and earned, and strongly support the continued current benefits for those still serving.  It is going to take everyone's full participation if we are going to keep our health care and pension benefits at a time when they are under attack.  Your unequivocal support is needed.

The FOP Tag license tag bill did pass this session and very shortly you will begin seeing this tag available to any FOP member with a National FOP membership card.  Florida will now be one of several states that have a distinctful and proud Fraternal Order of Police License Tag.
